Terms for using SpraggyPoker
These terms govern your use of spraggypoker.com and its community, hand-replay and article features. SpraggyPoker is operated by Ben Spragg.
1. Contact details
Email: legal@spraggypoker.com
2. Who may use the site
Do not create an account if you are not legally able to agree to these terms. You must not use the site if doing so would be unlawful where you live. We may ask for reasonable evidence relating to eligibility or account safety where necessary.
3. What the site provides
SpraggyPoker is a free poker discussion and publishing service. It does not accept wagers, run poker games, hold player funds or give regulated financial, gambling or professional advice. Posts and replays are community discussion, not a promise of correct or profitable results.
The site integrates with services including Twitch, Discord and PokerStars. Those third-party services remain subject to their own terms and privacy notices, and the integrations do not make them operators of SpraggyPoker.
4. Accounts
- Sign-in is provided through a supported Twitch or Discord account. Keep that provider account secure.
- Do not impersonate another person, evade a suspension, sell or transfer access, or use another person's account without permission.
- Public profile information must not mislead people about your identity, role or connection to SpraggyPoker.
5. Your posts and hand histories
You keep ownership of content you create. You give Ben Spragg a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, format, display and distribute that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure and promote SpraggyPoker. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies reasonably kept in backups, moderation records, legal records, or content already shared by other users as part of a discussion.
Only submit material you are entitled to share. Hand-history player names are removed before upload: your PokerStars name is replaced with your selected community name and opponents are replaced with seat-number aliases. You remain responsible for any personal or confidential information you add separately to a post, label or note. Do not use the service to expose, track or harass another player.
6. Rules and moderation
The community guidelines form part of these terms. We may limit visibility, remove content, restrict features or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users or the service, comply with law, or investigate a report. Serious cases may be referred to a platform, regulator or law-enforcement body.
Reports and appeals are handled through the process in the community guidelines. If we remove or restrict your content, or suspend or ban you, in breach of these terms, you may have a right to bring a claim for breach of contract.
7. Copyright and other rights
If content on the site infringes your copyright, privacy or another legal right, email legal@spraggypoker.com with the URL, an explanation of the right involved, and information that allows us to assess the request. Do not knowingly submit a false claim.
8. Availability and changes
We may repair, change or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or permanent storage, so keep your own copy of anything important. Where reasonably possible, material changes to these terms will be posted in advance with a new effective date. If a change materially affects registered users, we will also use a reasonable in-product notice.
9. Responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, the service is provided free of charge and we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, loss caused by another user or third-party service, or business losses arising from personal use of the site.
10. Ending use
You may stop using the site at any time. To request account closure or erasure, follow the process in the privacy notice. Provisions that reasonably need to continue after closure—including legal records, moderation records and liability provisions—will remain effective.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available under the law where you live.
